Official website of Carroll Auctioneers
Paddy at Carrolls Auctioneers had been using the same website for over 3 years and felt that it had become a bit dated and tired. He decided that he needed to freshen it up.
3 years is a long time in terms of web technology and design trends. Websites should be reviewed every 2 to 3 years to determine what areas need to be improved and brought into line with current trends and best practices. You need to show your customers that you are moving with the times.
For Carroll Auctioneers I implemented a clean, modern, responsive design. A responsive design means that the layout of the website automatically adjusts itself to the size of the screen it's being viewed on. This means a vastly improved user experience for visitors using mobile devices. Around 30% of all visits to carrollauctioneers.com are from tablets or mobile phones.
The new design features a floating main menu which sticks to the top of the screen when the user scrolls down, this allows for quicker and easier navigation. The main purpose of the website is to list property for sale and the new design provides a highly functional and feature rich interface that allows the user to easily filter the listings to find what they are looking for. Users can create an account on the website that allows them to save properties and search results, allowing them to easily revisit them later. The user can choose to receive email updates when a property has been modified so they'll never miss a price drop.
As soon as the new website went live there was an immediate three fold increase in traffic to the site. Can't argue with those stats!
